As soon as we drove off, we headed to ScootRichmond and picked up a Nautilus. I got spoiled on the Buddy. Looks like my Dr Pulley kit shipped today as well, so it's gonna get re-purposed to the Blur now.
Let the tuning begin!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I could do an endo on the Blur if I set my mind to it. I sometimes have to tell myself to brake earlier because I fall into the habit of braking at the last second because I know I can.Racenut wrote:babblefish wrote: I'm currently looking at some oversize front and rear disk brake rotors for my Blur and will definitely post pictures when I find some.
I curious to why? Have you ever actually experienced fade? The stock brakes are really good, I'm more concerned with using too much rather than not having enough for sure. I don't see a reason to increase rotational weight.
Of course if you just think they look bad ass, which they do, then rock on
Nah, I'm a smartass by nature. It's hardly vintage, more like 1 of 2... I think I might just be pretty darn proud to be a Blur rider. I definitely feel as if I've done a service to this particular Blur. 1300 BDU's in 2 years? I did that on my Buddy in a little over a month. This one's gonna get a lot of love. More mods, but still, a good amount of love.blurblaine wrote:I just wanted to comment on the 'vintage blur' listed by 'lostmycage'.
Has it come to that? lol!
Hrmm... I'm not sure about that. I've flipped the switch to the middle and left and looked at the rear and found no difference. Hope a tail-light isn't out. Judging from the icons on the label, it really seems as though it should be parking lights and full on lights. So we might just have a switch that's been "Mericanized".EP_scoot wrote:That switch, in the USA version, turns the tail light on/off.
Far left = tail light is on
middle = I can't remember
far right = tail light is OFF
That's what I've figured all along. But it seems weird to me that you can't turn on the headlight with the engine off (well, actually you can, if you hold down the "PASS" button), it seems like that would be a good idea for safety in case your engine crapped out on a dark road at night. What's the Buddy (and other scooters) like in that respect, can you turn on the headlight with the engine off?Lostmycage wrote:Judging from the icons on the label, it really seems as though it should be parking lights and full on lights. No fade, just a pulsing braking action that might be a warped rotor. So, instead of replacing it with a stock disk, I may as well install something that looks cool. It's like guys replacing stock wheels on their cars with something bigger and flashier (is that a real word?) or someone jumping out of a perfectly good airplane - not necessary, but fun.Racenut wrote:babblefish wrote: I'm currently looking at some oversize front and rear disk brake rotors for my Blur and will definitely post pictures when I find some.

Yes, but I'm not aware of any difference in centerstands with the '07s.justscooten wrote:we are all talking about an 06 blur right?
I guess I was talking about the 06 because that's what I got. Am I not aware of differences between the 06 and 07 other than the color and odometer inaccuracies?justscooten wrote:we are all talking about an 06 blur right?
