This just in: Babblefish has amazingly negotiated the delivery of the entire Blur 200, along with the instrument cluster, for the same low price of $115! Get in line folks!

I was just looking through a Harley catalog someone left in our lunchroom. I'll never complain about the price of a PGO digital console again. I'm not spending $120, I'm saving $260, and I don't even need to buy the $140 bracket.

Sorry to keep you all in suspense. For every dash you buy, you'll get a free 200cc kit. Yeah, right! So here's the real deal - illnoise (thanks illnoise! :D ) has convinced Scooterworks to stock the digital dash. From what I hear, they have ordered 30 of them and is expecting delivery in 2-3 months. Pricing is not yet known and the delivery date is also not concrete. You might want to contact Scooterworks directly for more info. Please let the group know of any new info. :)

For those of you who are in a hurry and would like to get one sooner, PM me with your email and mailing address by the 19th (Saturday) and I'll get them ordered direct from Taiwan. Shipping time from Taiwan to me is approximately 4-5 days. I will email you back with a PayPal order form for payment. Here's the pricing again (reminder, I'm not making money on this, I'm just trying to help out the group). :D

 PGO 2008 Digital Dash +shipping from Taiwan: $135 (includes shipping from Taiwan) - may be a couple of dollars higher or lower depending on how many are getting shipped over. If the shipping turns out higher, I'll let you know beforehand.

 $10 - $13 Domestic shipping via USPS Priority Mail to your address. If you're in the San Francisco area and can pick it up yourself, delete this.

For those asking about blue backlighting instead of orange; I checked and it looks like the blue is exclusive to the GMax 200 and is not available. But, I'm wondering if the blue lighting is already built into the dash because it's cheaper to manufacture only one unit and change backlight color by just moving a jumper setting. I didn't open mine up to check, even though I wanted to - I just forgot and I don't really want to take everything apart again.

Oh, and here's a picture of that rear fender thingamajig:
Image

Let me know if you want one of these too. Last price I was given is $30.

Lastly, my offer to help SF Bay Area guys install the unit still stands, but I won't actually do it for you, I'll teach you how and help if neccessary. My motto is: give a man a fish and he eats for a day - teach him how to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime...or something like that.... :P
Once everyone gets theirs, we'll set a date to meet at a mutually agreed upon place and have a dash party. :D

I don't think I technically convinced them, I think they were already on the ball and had an order in. They read this list more than you'd think.

I'm definitely planning on buying one once they're in stock at Scooterworks, so don't bug them, they have enough to worry about, bug me in a month or two and I'll check in with them, and you'll all be the first to know. Hopefully, they're coming in a crate full of 2009 Blurs. : )

I didn't want to step on Wes' toes, (thanks again for all your legwork, Wes!) but I thought I could save him some trouble organizing all this. Of course, if you're in a hurry to get one, go with him, but if you're not ready to pull the trigger, at least you know that eventually you'll be able to order one through your dealer or scooterworks mail order. No idea what the price will be, or if they'll be orange or blur or fuchsia or what, but they're coming.

Hey! I just thought of something! (I don't do that very often...) I'm the only one in the US to have this digital dash! Maybe the only one in the world to have one in an '06 Blur, come to think about it! I think I'm going to bask in my own uniqueness while I can... :P

I think I'll go to bed because it's 2:30 in the morning and my brain is going to mush....

Ok, so if your price was $135 each shipped from Taiwan, wouldnt it be easier to just have each unit shipped directly to its intended recipient straight from Taiwan to save teh hassle of shipping twice? Any idea what the price of the dash is going to be thru Scooterworks direct?

I was thinking along those lines also. Wouldn't it be easier (for you) to post the purchase details so that interested parties could just do it on thier own and get you out of the middle. If the idea is to save a few bucks on the bulk order wont that be a wash with the second shipping charge from SF??

either way I appreciate your efforts and I'm definately interested, I will PM you.

Is scooterworks also stocking the rear mud guard piece, or just the dashes. I can wait on a dash if they're going to have them available, but I want the little mud guard too!

No word on the mudguard, better get that via Wes' source.

Again, I have no word on pricing or other details on SW's speedos, that's all they were able to tell me. Once they know, I'll know, and then you'll know. : )

That sounds like a good idea, why didn't I think of it?
I'll check into it and get back to you guys. I guess the best thing to do would be for him to email people a PayPal invoice so it doesn't have to go through me.

I paid a total of $155 to get mine, so it was $115 for the dash plus $40 shipping. I'll have to find out what it would cost to ship just the fender thing.

Note: The price was higher for mine because he was sending only one and not a bunch in one box. It will be that way for shipping one unit directly from Taiwan to your address. But really, it would be the same cost if they were sent to me then from me to you. Except for those of you within pick-up distance of me.

Still working out the logistics with my supplier to handle the ordering directly with him. Give it another day or two. Communication is a little slow because of the time difference.

Anyone order theirs yet? :D

Just an update on mine - rode for the first time with the new dash today and the indicated speed does change when switching from MPH to KM/H so it's doing some internal conversions, but I don't really know if it's accurate since I have no way of checking. First chance I get, I'll shanghai a friend to pace me with his car to compare speeds.

One other note, when your gas level gets low, the fuel level indicator starts flashing to grab your attention. That was a pleasant surprise!

The tach is pretty much useless in an automatic scooter, but it's cool to look at.

I emailed him, got a reply and paid my bill by paypal. He says it should ship Mon or Tues. Nice guy.

Also FYI the mudguard is $17 not $30.

any chance i can get hold of the guy in taiwan for this digital dash?

but rather shipped it in the u.s. would it be possible to ship it in asia via registered courier [like fedex]?

also what does the digigauge look like? any sample photos?

would it be a perfect fit on the dash of the gmax 150cc?

would the speed be near accurate or similar to the analog gauge?

thanks

I've PM'd you with the seller's email address.

Look at page one of this thread to see pictures of the digigauge.

Yes, it is a perfect fit in the GMax 150cc since it was made for the GMax 200cc, which is more or less the same scooter.

I don't know yet how accurate the new gauge is because I have no way of checking it.

NathanielSalzman - If you still want that little fender thing, maybe one of the other members who is ordering a digital dash can help you by ordering a fender at the same time to save on shipping cost.

Anyone want to help Nathaniel out? :D

just want to ask..if there is a possibility that the silver frame structure could be detached from the main assembly so that it can be painted with the color of your choice...[white in my case]

thanks babblefish for giving me his email..

he replied and theres more to it that speedos [ he can provide a 63mm cylinder block and 4 valves]

MaxG, I imagine you're aware of this but others may not be…

Absolutely no dig intended on Babblefish or his source, I really appreciate both of them hunting down these speedos and I hope this starts a flow of quality parts coming over, but just be careful, OK? There is lots of junk, and even some counterfeit stuff, coming out of Asia.

I hate to even bring it up because another guy was trying to organize some deals a while back and I think people jumped on him (including me, maybe) before he had a chance to prove himself, but it's just something everyone should be aware of when ordering from Asia. Don't invest more than you can afford to lose, and inspect/test your new parts carefully before trusting them WOT on the street.

And… it goes without saying that performance parts and aftermarket accessories may void your warranty and/or adversely affect reliability. But you knew that, speed freaks. :)

I have an update for those of you who just ordered a digital console, our supplier just contacted me to say that due to some family matters he has to take care of, he won't be able to ship again for a couple of days and offers his apologies. He should be able to get them out toward the end of this week.

It may be possible to take the console apart as it looks like it's held together with some screws.

About the 63mm cylinder and 4-valve head - I'm assuming you have an actual G-Max and not a Blur. If this is the case, you can probably fit these parts to your engine. To be sure, get the engine type number from the crankcase and ask if the big bore kit will work with it. I think it will still require complete disassembly of the engine though because the crankcase needs to be machined out to fit the larger diameter bore. From what I understand, fitting a Blur engine with a big bore kit is harder because it's engine is different from a G-Max and a kit may not be available. I'm personally still doing research on this, but if a 200cc Blur is brought into the US, I'll just go for that.
