So I parked my scooter at the local circuit city to go visit with a friend. Walked outside to find it in a different spot facing the other direction with a pleasant little note. "Sorry I hit your bike, Call Me."
This is one of those moments I'm not a big fan of my Stella. Steel body and the engine on the side under a cowl instead of the center.
Looks like I'll be riding my elite for a little bit.
Yeah, that is awful! I am sorry to hear that.
..I have left a note once...
BUT it was for good cause!
I pulled into a parking space at the local mall and saw that a little pink bug had a flat.. I got into my car and wrote a note that said, " DONT DRIVE, YOU'LL RUIN YOUR BUGGY! YOUR FRONT RIGHT IS FLAT."
And, I put it under her windshield wiper blade..
When I was leaving the mall she was out there with daddy fixing it! I saved her rim!
hopefully he calls you back soon!
i mean at least he was gracious enough to leave you his contact info, i've heard so many stories where people would just drive off after hitting a scooter
hopefully the guy returns your calls!
i mean at least he was gracious enough to leave his contact info, because i've heard some stories where people would hit a scooter and drive off those bastards
I have nightmares about this happening to me. I just hope if it does that my person is kind enough to admit they hit her and leave a card or similar as well.
Seeing the pics makes me sad, but I am sure you will get everything worked out fine!
We had a guy come in to our work one day holding a note that someone had left on the windshield of his new Lexus. It was a "sorry I hit your car" note with a phone number, but it had rained and the phone number was no longer legible.

I walked away with just shy of 3k and got to keep the bike.
Let the malarkey commence.
Wow, that bites. I hope you have another scoot to use in the meantime until you find a replacement you like. I always say, keep that Elite 'cos you'll never know when you'll need it. Good luck!
My "tupperware" bike never left. It's been in the garage.

Yeah, I hung on to the elite.
The stella still rides, just can't put the engine side cowl on so there's nothing between the elements and the engine. I'd order parts to fix it but genuine is being super slow right now.
