Wow, with friends like that... Geez, that's just a great way to get somebody hurt or killed. You gotta hope that video does not make the rounds because somebody somewhere will try it. All I can say is, that video is the short answer to the question, "Why do you always keep the brakes on at a stoplight?"

I had something similar happen. Someone in the neighborhood got a new scooter. I was on my Burgman 650 and just talking while sitting there. Another neighbor...now named asshat...looked at my bike and twisted the throttle.
Luckily I had the parking brake on. I asked him what the f*** he thought he was doing. He was surprised and then sheepish when I asked him why he was trying to f****ng kill me. Really he had no clue what he was doing but really...I didn't care.

I'd bet a dollar that they have no idea how a CVT works of that you had one. They probably just thought they were gonna rev the engine.BuddyRaton wrote:I had something similar happen. Plus one in the column for shifties. I can goose my P200 in neutral and get a melodic rotary-pad zzzziiiiiinnnnngggg! On my Riva when you goose it, it goes rattatatatatatatRATAT! Not guite as melodic.

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...
Seriously...I've lost count...

No....he didn't have a clue what he was doing. Still...it would be like someone climbing into my SSR and reving it cause they wanted to see what a LS2 sounded like.
The worst thing was that the other scooter was a total bodge job. I was even behaving and keeping my mouth shut!
