NSR: Designers/Artists/Visionaries Lend Me Your Ears
Local Motors is conducting a contest. According to this Gizmag article, LM are soliciting designs for a 3-D printed car. The top 12 designs win the amazing prize of having their design actually printed. This whole thing sounds like a caffeine dream, but Local Motors has already printed one of these cars before. They have a standard electric motorized drive train that the design has to work with. Apparently the car must actually be a "car" in the 4-wheeled sense. I know this is a scooter site, but I also know there are some hugely talented people here and I hope one of you will take this to heart and go WIN this frikkin contest. Even if it is a "car."
