Broken Mirrors on my Buddy 50cc - where to get new ones?
Hey guys - I hit a pothole a few weeks ago and dropped my Buddy 50cc. Both mirrors were damaged and I need to replace them. Where is the best (and cheapest) online place to get them? Thanks!
You can order the-same-thing replacements for these mirrors from Scooterworks.com or ScooterLoungeOnline.com
However, I'd encourage you to consider buying different mirrors, because the Buddy mirrors are frankly not that great: small reflective area, tend to get loose and wiggle, and ... easily broken. One of mine also developed a rusty stem. The two key things to search for are mirrors with 1) an 8mm thread, that is 2) reversed on the right side mirror.
When I broke one of my mirrors, I ended up replacing both of mine with a set of the mirrors that Yamaha used to put on their C3 scooter. The stems are a little shorter, but the mirror area is larger, and they're simply better constructed. I ordered them from Boats.net (of all places) and they were quite a bit cheaper than the genuine Genuine mirrors. They come in black, which I happen to like. You see them in my avatar photo.
If you use the Search feature on the site, you should be able to find some previous discussions about replacement mirrors.

You need 8mm reverse thread found on Yamahas. Ebay has plenty to choose from. You should be able to find a decent for $20.00 to $25.00 shipped.geddymsu wrote:Hey guys - I hit a pothole a few weeks ago and dropped my Buddy 50cc.
