Should I? Buying questions..

Post by Lash LaRue »

So I was thinking about getting the Roughhouse 50, but I'm concerned about the durability of the two stroke engine...plus I can't hardly find any reviews. Can you guys give me some feed back? Plus and this is silly, but do you thnk you could get something made for the front like a rack, or even better crash bars like on the Zuma 125... just an aesthetic thing...but man its looks great...

If you leave your scooter stock, the Genuine 2T engines are pretty darn reliable. There are multiple folks here with 5 digits of miles on their scoots. I just crossed the 5,000 mile marker on my Roughhouse and haven't had to do any work on it outside of routine maintenance (gear oil changes, new rear tire, replace front brake pads). If you're looking for fun, reliable transport the Roughhouse is tough to beat.

The RH50 is a solid 50 2T, there's no question about it. Looks good, handles great, and the fit/finish is very well done. It's also been around for quite some time and has a good value on the long haul. There are some racks out there, but none I've found for the front. You would have to custom build your own (not hard to accomplish if you have the tools). The RH50 uses a Horizontal Minarelli Long which is one of the better designed 2T engines. It's a very similar engine found in many Hondas and Yamaha 50cc 2T setups, just different castings is all.

Personal experience on this, it is one of the fastest stock 50cc 2T scooters on the market with one of the strongest engines (reliability). It's extremely easy to mod, and is only going to get easier soon. Can't go wrong if you are looking for a 50cc scooter.

Great... I'm going to get it, and thanks.
