City of Tustin:
Saw a red Buddy leaving the Columbus Tustin sports complex on Prospect headed toward Irvine Blvd at around 10pm tonight. I did the two finger 'sup but I'm not sure if I got a response or not.

Orand Buddy on Lidell just West of Grand about a block from Saint Francis Xavier Church. White Buddy further up. Both parked. Orange Vespa in Mid-town... I waved. Was ignored. What is it with Vespa People?

Heheheh - I played in the music program at SFX for about 20 years or so, and worked as music director for a time.

Actually, I had a nice chat with a guy on a big Vespa yesterday at an intersection, and the Vespa guys in one of the local scooter clubs are more than cool. But I ran in to a couple of serious Vespa Snobs one morning, on their matching scoots with their oh-so-matchy-fancy riding gear, outside the Waffle House, of all places. They looked and acted like the Swiss bobsledders in Cool Runnings. Total arsewipes. You meet all kinds, I guess.

This person was matched out the wazoo... Had her helmet coordinated to match the custom seat cover. When I waved, she sort of looked at me then looked the other way. She probably worked at Craft Alliance LOL

10:45 am; seafoam green buddy on Speer Blvd & 12th Ave, going toward downtown Denver. black helmet, FF i think.

Another reason I see a lot of Buddies is that my desk faces the major road that leads to downtown, so I see a ton of traffic go by all the time. So even when I'm not riding, I'm still seeing Buddies.

Black Buddy 50 was parked next to Bogie at work today. Never saw it before this afternoon. It has 74 miles on it so the owner must have just bought it. Looked nice to see two scooters at the office!

Three more sightings today...

1) Series Italia on Speer Blvd near 27th on the other side of I-25, heading toward downtown. Male rider in black 3 shirt no helmet.

2) Main Street heading north, near old town Broomfield just south of 120th. Black Buddy. Rider wearing all black as well. FF helmet. Waved to me as I'm riding south. I waved back w/o taking my lef hand off the steering.

3) Blue Buddy at the Whole Foods Cap Hill, parked in that shady spot next to the entrance.

Black Buddy 50 at the South County CVS last night about 8pm. I didn't get a chance to check mileage or any details, but it looked pretty new!

We were a bit surprised to see it on public streets.

A pile of sightings yesterday:

1) black buddy parked near Tee and Cakes in Boulder (14th st).

2) orange buddy (new?) on Walnut as I was leaving Boulder on the bus.

3) Orange buddy 50cc with a Crypt sticker, and cool racing stripes parked on 17th st in Denver.

This morning a black 50cc with a rider in a military styled half helm turning onto Logan st. He had a very determined look on his face, I tossed him a wave.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I check this thread every night after I ride (and I ride daily ). But I'm also worried that the one time I'm spotted it will be when I'm doing something stupid.

Mine's the white one. That little shopping center is def not grand theft central. And what you can't see is the row of shops about 10 paces behind where I was standing. Its a highly visible spot.

Had an orange Stella behind me for most of my commute up Clairmont this morning; sadly I was in my cage.

I think he's a member of Terminal Scooter Club based on the patches. Too bad my Resurgence magnet got washed off the Clubman or he would have known why I was looking back in the rear view so much.

I just saw 2 Buddies parked on the sidewalk on Bannock St. The black one is on the corner of Bannock and 12th Ave, by the law office, that I go by all the time. The red one is between 11th and 12th Ave.

Psycho Buddy heading west on Cordova at the intersection with South Lake Ave in Pasadena at around 2:00pm-ish, I believe. I heard the Prima pipe, turned, and there it was. Rider was hauling ass pretty good.

Seemed to be a good sized rider, but maybe it was just the attire and my quick glance? Wearing a black half helmet and form fitting black t-shirt and pants. The pants were the short kind. Sort of like football pants, iirc?

I saw 2 more scoots on my way home yesterday. One was a Vespa looking scoot, navy blue , headed North on the Broadway bridge. The second was an orange Stella driving around in old Overland Park, which is where a local scooter shop is, so that may have been a mechanic or someone test driving a new scoot! In all three cases yesterday I got no wave or head-nod from the scooterists. But the big Harley dudes full on WAVE! :D I do a big head nod back. I'm still too much of a scardy cat to take my hand off the scoot. I had no prob on the Stella waving, but for some reason, I'm not there yet on the Buddy. . . anyway. Great to see so many scooterists!

Say, smarkum, so whereabouts is your Land-of-Oz? Australia? Not-In-Kansas-Anymore? A penitentiary?

Your references aren't 100% obvious to me.
