Scooter Photo Scavenger Hunt 2010 May Week 4: Baseball
May 23- May 30

Join in on the fun!
Note: if you haven’t joined the hunt yet, you can still jump in.
You do not have to go crazy with 20 point photos – If you want, feel free to go get the basic photo & post up. No one will give you a hard time here. We just want lots of people to play along – the fun part is seeing LOTS of scoots with the subject of the week
.

We did this hunt back in 2008 & it produced some of my favorite pics.

4Pts – your scooter at a baseball field (or park or stadium)
+2pts if there is a game being played and we can see the game
+4pts if you have baseball players (more than one & not including you) posing with your scooter
+4pts if you have an ump (in uniform) posing with your sccoter
+2 pts if you are in the photo
+1pt if you are wearing a baseball hat (not just a baseball style hat, a hat with a team name and or logo)
+3pts if you are wearing a baseball jersey
+2pts if you are wearing a baseball t-shirt
+1pt if you are holding a baseball mit
+1 pt for the first pic in this week

Questions? PM me

Photo must be posted by midnight in YOUR time zone on 5/30/10

PLEASE do your own math & include you point total (for that week) with your submission!!!!

General Rules for every week:
-Only one photo may be submitted by each member for each week’s subject. (but if you get a better pic later in the week, POST IT with your new points - PLEASE edit your original post note that you posted a better pic and note in the newer post that it is a replacement for a previous pic.

I do hope softball counts? This town is insane for softball. Bismarck hosts the largest charity softball tournament in the nation. The McQuade Charity Softball tournament.

We even had a team from Hawaii a few years back. The teams name was Komonawannleiya

By God, I'm posting something this week. If I stumble on something better (yeah, sure) I'll forfeit the first post point. Until then, though...

I'm sorry, I came up blank this week. I've been so caught up, figured I'd get it done Friday, but got rained in, then work, and was out with fam all day today... I know, too many excuses, and it could've been so much easier to post something... now it's nearly midnight with nothing :(

I had planned to get a photo this weekend but ended up doing a last minute trip to Minneapolis for the weekend.

I really petered out by the end of May - just not many people interested in playing.
Back in 2008 we had a big hunt going (some weeks had 25+ players) http://www.timwall.com/hunt/
but it died out also.

That being said, I am always up for a good photo scavenger hunt - you should feel free to start one up!
Hopefully a fresh set of ideas from down under might be just the think to make it popular again
.

A photo of you scooter with a dingo?
bonus points if you are wearing your bathers
that might not be everyone's cup of rice but I bet you could come up with some good oil.

One we never did was you scooter with a dunny (no bonus points for your doodle in the photo - might get sprung for that)

I had fun doing it, but it always seemed to be on my mind because during a busy week I had to squeeze in time to make a trip to whatever photo spot it was. Maybe a lot of people lost interest because of the short timeframe to post up. I think we'd get a bigger turnout if there was like a 2 week window or more to play with. Just a suggestion.

I love the scavenger hunt, the only problem was between bad weather and working I usually missed the deadline. The ones I did get though were really fun... good times. 8)

Lemont you crack me up. I will try extra hard to participate if McGurk wants to start up the scavenger hunt again. The worldwide scooter tag is too hard for me to follow, every time I get one someone else has already got it.

Not as easy as it seems. I was going back through all the old games & so far all the ideas I had have been done. Maybe the dunny gets it but apart from a roll of toilet paper there's not a lot I can think of for bonus points...

Hooley Dooley!!! (Wow!!!) I haven't heard corker for yonks (a long time). It's such a corker of a word. All I can say is stone the flamin' crows (damn it) because a lot of Aussie slang has carked it (died) with the younger generation. So many whipper snappers (younger ones) use mostly American terms these days. Idiot box (TV) influence I guess. One that really annoys me is the word "Guy" everyone says it now instead of bloke. I'm not a guy I'm a bloke!!!! That's a real corker of a website too. 8)

Ooo BLOKE. I like that one I'll have to use it more. Is "whipper snappers" originally a phrase from Australia? Because I say that all the time.

I get Aussie slang and that from the uk mixed up. I love it both. An old soccer coach I had used to say knickers and rubbish all the time. And then a bunch of garbled words that I think were swear words. Cool Guy.

I haven't a clue mate, maybe it's not but I remember as a kid being called a young whipper snapper
