Rattler 110 trailer.....

Post by cnun110 »

Has anybody been able to tow a trailer behind a scooter? Is it legal?

Thanks

I'm certain this would be completely legal. The only problem to consider is weight and how to mount it. The additional weight will also put more wear on your rear tire. I personally would not go any more than 35 lbs if you can figure out how to mount it. Just know it would need to be mounted to the swing arm frame and the trailer arm would need to be able to swivel.

Best of luck.

I have used a high end bicycle trailer. Look for a older BOB or Burley trailer where the wheels are supported on both the inside and out, then it will be stable up to about 70mph. The cheaper ones start to sway at about 45 mph. MOunting is easy too, and you can safely carry up to about 75 lbs. I am currently planning a 2 week long coastal cruise covering both the Oregon and California coasts with our trailers, camping gear, my dog, all with our 2 scooters.
