downtown nashville

Post by UnionZac »

One of the things I love best about scooting is that you get a chance to see so much that you might otherwise miss if you were riding in a car. I was cruising around downtown Nashville today and grabbed a couple shots.

<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v356/ ... C00199.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/ ... C00199.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Fort Nashboro, where the country sound was purchased from the Natives for beads.

<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v356/ ... C00202.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/ ... C00202.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I love how bizarre this looks.

<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v356/ ... C00240.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/ ... C00240.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v356/ ... C00206.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/ ... C00206.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Johnny Cash wouldn't have been so down if he had owned a scooter... so I guess its good he didn't.

Nice! Looks like you had a great day! Reminds me of the Roaming Gnome... :)

Man...Nashville looks awesome. I'm inspired to do my own little "photo story "from my town...however downtown Ventura isn't very interesting, at least not to me.

You could try and talk one of the water taxi guys into giving your scoot a ride.

Love the pics, and love the stripes. I've been wanting to do that exact thing on my scoot for a while. Mind if I ask what the width of the stripes are?

Thanks for the look at Nashville.

Yes, that's Ganesh painted on a scooter. No, it's not mine.

I used streetglo vinyl reflective tape, off a recommendation from Drumwoulf. The gold stripe is 3/4" and the white stripe over the top of it is a 1/2" wide. I removed the front panel to put on the big stripes, and then unscrewed the right side of the cowel, so that I could tuck the excess tape back in behind it.

Excellent shots and your scoot is definitely photogenic with those stripes; I went with Streetglo too for some added reflectivity (I particularly like their super reflective nautical stars in blue!).
You got pretty close to the Cumberland there...Yow!

Parthenon, huh, hadn't even thought of that.

The Cash Mural is two blocks east of Demonbreun (that would be away from the Nashvegas strip) behind the Schermerhorn past the parking lot. This area can also be described as Molloy and 4th ave.

Right behind Encore and Sole Mio?

I never would have known where that was had I not eaten dinner at Sole Mio then walked to the Schermerhorn for the Saturday evening concert. What a coincidence.

Great pics, BTW.
