I have been ogling scoots for almost 2 years now, and finally made the plunge in March for a little People 50. I learned my way around, fell in love with the feeling, and sold it for an '06 Kymco Bet & Win. Sadly, the BW subforum on Kymco's forums is a bit desolate (18 total threads).
Fortunately, this forum is active, considerate, and extremely helpful. Thank you for letting me come in to your community. I hope to keep sharing and learning with all of you.
Here's my lovely ride parked with a view of Long's Peak. I completed my first ride to Boulder today (13 mile drive, kept mostly to roads under 50 mph.) And I passed my motorcycle driving test, which means no more riding dirty!

It felt terrific today, a day of firsts for me and my scooter... First time over 55mph, first time riding in the town of Boulder (which is much more scooter friendly than Longmont where I live), and first time I finally have my endorsement. And that's when I found this quote ...
“Drive a scooter for even a little while, and she becomes strangely yourself, yourself grown swift and powerful and untiring. In turn, you feel what she feels - a quirk in the wind, a difference in the road surface, the rise and fall of the land - and her sounds become like the noises of your own body, her vulnerability becomes your own.”
On a day like today, it feels more like it found me.
I found it at the terrific site here...

He is a regular poster here on these forums, I think. The quote is from this book

I'm in the same boat as you. The Kymco forum is a wasteland of political rants non scooter related topics. I've been looking to get a buddy for a few years now but settled on a slightly used Like 200i that I just could pass on. The MB forum is the best resource for all scooter related stuff and junk.
