Will Rattler 110's be around at end of year?

Post by Raiderfn311 »

I am saving money to buy a Rattler 110 by the end of the 2011. Will they still be around by then? Im hoping so cause I have my heart set on it. Buddy 125 would be a second choice, but I love a 2-stroke!

I don't think Genuine will be shipping any new ones. You may be able to find a dealer who still has one when you get the money or might be able to pick up a used one on the cheap (not a terrible idea as long as it's in good condition, saves you the break-in period).

The Buddy is also a great machine, probably your best bang for the buck. There's more support to mod the Buddy and even stock it has a higher top end than the Rattler. I love my Ratt, but a Buddy was #2 on my list, both quality machines and great first scooters.

Had 'em both. Loved 'em both. Totally different.

Buddy 125

So if I buy a Buddy125, maybe down the road I can mod it to perform like a Blackjack? that might be wishful thinking, but I cant afford a Blackjack yet. Thanx for all the replys. Great forum here.

There are big bore kits you can get that can up your displacement, pipes that improve performance, and on and on. Kaos, one of the users here, had modded his Buddy 125 (originally) to do a true 88 mph. You can even buy the blackjack panels from Genuine to make a normal buddy look like a BlackJack (just gotta paint the rims red). Anyway, good luck!

Buddy mods

Post by Raiderfn311 »

Im probably going to go stock until warranty runs out. I hear some mods dont mess with warranty though. I generaly just ride to work in 45mph zones so 50 or so is fine. Ive almost talked myself into a Buddy125....but if a Ratt 110 is available come November, very tough decision! I love the way my Andretti m50 revs(2 stroke). For basically a chinese scooter its been a blast. Runs in the low 40's so traffic can be a problem. Damn commuters. Thanx for the feed back!

No prob. If they're both still available when you're ready, give them both a test ride and you'll know pretty darn quick which one you want.
