Where has everyone been?? I check MB religiously and wish there were more posts to read. Stop scooting and stay inside to post about scooting people!! LOL.. j/k. So to give this forum a boost, I am on my 3rd post (all of which are different) tonight updating everyone on my Buddy experience.

So I am going to venture out and take my Buddy to work tomorrow. (Wait let me check the weather to see if we are safe........... ok, we are good to go) It will be a 16 mile drive and kinda nervous. But I took some precautions to be safe.

Went out and bought a tire pump and got her back to 30 PSI from 20 PSI. ($10 bucks baby! AND it has a built in PSI gauge, Awesome Blossom!!)

New Harley Boots that don't fit quite right so I will have to wear really thick socks. Unfortunately I only own one pair of thick socks so I will have to go buy more. Its either buy more socks or buy new shoes. Me is so poor right now!! I feel like I have bricks on my feet with these things on, but I am not riding without them!

A Krypto noose chain that I realize is too short, but I will use it cause I bought it!

And stuck a bunch of reflective tape on my helmet and Tag holder to be more visible.

By the way, me and the Hubby went to try out some crotchrockets this past week and while he realized how small some of them were for him, I realized I will probably never be able to fit any of them :(. I look so weird on a cruiser we wont even go there.

Taile! Sean and I bought these for our scooters
topic3988.html

It works wonderfully and it's cheaper than many of the chain locks, plus you don't need to find anything to lock it to! It makes a nice alarm sound when people mess with your scoot too :D

Also, you said hubby up there, but just a few posts ago you called him fiancee? Did you get married already?

Hey girl :)

Thanks for the recommendation. I will def look into it. Me and the "hubby" are still only engaged but I don't like the term "fiance" :)

You and your guy is so cute together! I wish someone rode a buddy who lived with me.

I know what you mean, I was engaged once and it felt weird to say fiancee :/ ...then again I didn't actually end up going through with it, so maybe that's why it felt awkward. :P

On the same token though, calling someone your boyfriend doesn't seem meaningful enough when you have been together for a significant amount of time.

Is your boy going to get a motorcycle? You could still ride together that way...but you should talk him into a scoot, they are way sexier ;)

You and my wife have the same problem. She wears a size 5 and has to do the thick socks trick for her boots too. If you have trouble finding regular shoes in small sizes it's because my wife got there first and bought them all. Seriously, she's put her name on calling lists at all of the major department and shoe stores to be called when new shipments arrive. The good sales people know to call her first.

i have that same pump, except without the Slime branding on it. I'm assuming that some factory in china just churns those things out like crazy, putting different brand names on them. The pressure gauge is pretty much useless though, you should grab a nicer one from the auto parts store.

Pressure gauge seems to work just fine for me. Maybe it will break the next time I use it. LOL

Yep, and I am going to ride it laying on the pavement since I cant reach the ground on it.. LOL

Need to get more confident and safe riding the Buddy first before I even THINK about getting another bike. And plus, so broke :( Maybe I can just get a red bike next, then I won't have to buy new gear. I am a genius!! lol

If you like sport bikes, check out the new Ninja 250. The only thing that doesn't look like a ZX10 is the skinny back tire and the single disc brake, both of which are all you need in the real world. They are low and narrow but the bars are a bit higher for comfort. My local dealer want payment in full, non-refundable and he will call when it comes in. The '07s look just like the '84. They couldn't give them away before the gas fiasco.
