POST PICS OF YOUR BUDDY HERE
Posted: Fri Apr 13, 2007 9:59 pm
by San Francisco
Seems there should be a central place for everyone to post pics of their
Buddies or parts thereof.
So get snapping with those digital cameras and post your pictures here.
And don't' forget to tell us about what mods and add-ons you have. Post
your pics even if it is bone stock. It's still fun to see pictures from your
locale.

No name. Completely stock except for removing all "Buddy 125" stickers and adding reflective tape. I bought mine with the white seat and grips. Future mods: connecting the lower non-working turn signals with the DOT turn signals, adding chrome trip and a cup holder. Maybe a seat cover from Crystal at some point too.

Oh how I miss my bright yellow New Mexico plates...
I've been tossing around the idea of naming my scoot Wembley (after the green fraggle). Any thoughts??

Alright, what's with the matching jacket? Did the dealer toss that in with
the deal.

Nope. I bought my first jacket, a TourMaster Coat from New Enough, but when the weather warmed up it was too hot even with the liner out and the vents open. Luckily enough, the Venom was on the closeout page at New Enough in just my size! Looks good with the Budd, doesn't it?
I bought the Budd back in October. The Venom jacket is less than a month old.

here's a pic of the buddy parked inside at work.
a customer of mine came in and eventually I noticed the little bundle in her purse was alive.
I insisted on a picture (just happened to have my camera with me that day.)

Those T's are fadulous! I want one. haha, i said fad.ulous. even on a keyboard i'm dislixic.
Weasel tamer? Do you have ferrets you're taming? Tame a weasel? Do you mean convince a weasel to pee in just one corner or just two even? Ha, good luck. Be careful or he'll eat that leaf looking bug on your scooter.
excuse please, that wasn't very scooter related.

Haven't named mine yet, but I'm thinking of something really original, like, Red.
Picture is from a "suburban adventure" yesterday. I'm parked in front of Troy Aikman's house. Hey Troy, the hedge needs trimming, if you're lurking around this site . . .
Talk about matching!

"Julia" has a black Buddy named Spike. I see pink buddies all the time in SF, and only know one person who owns one. So there are a lot of potential Modern Buddy members out there with no idea what they are missing.

maybe you could print a few dozen business type cards to carry around and when you see an extra buddy parked just leave them a note with the forum address.

Still waiting on my black seat, so this is the best y'all are gonna get for now. However, I'm planning a fashion photo shoot with my friends of all our pink bikes and my scooter as soon as that seat comes! I'll post 'em here if this post stays current.

True. However, I don't think Barry is hurting for Buddy business, and I think the name is ridiculous. If the dealer wants me to keep the badges/plate holders on, then I should get some form of remuneration; I'm not interested in providing free advertising.

Maybe I subconsciously was going for that era/aura?! All this time I've been describing the white/pink combo as "too Barbie for my tastes," punctuating my quest for the black/pink as "going for Jem rather than Barbie."

But he certainly wants all the Buddy business he can get.
And I agree, where did they come up with that name "Buddy?"
I hope they did not pay some marketing firm big $$ to come up
with it.
I think evidence of the name issue is indicated by all the Buddy owners
stripping the badges off their scoots.

JEM IS EXCITEMENT! JEM IS ADVENTURE!
Brief hijack: Jem was voiced by the lovely Britta Phillips of the band
Dean & Britta, whose new CD Back Numbers may appeal to anyone who likes stuff that sounds like laid back '60s French pop. Hijack over.

Well, it was brief until someone replied to it with questions.

It was in context, kind of... Human brains are non-linear...
A digression is fine as long as it doesn't totally subvert the original thread. And some things deserve their own threads, but that sure as heck didn't.
