It's Football season, and what a great opportunity to scoot out there and Score LOTS of points. For our purposes we will focus on the game of Football-USA style (not soccer). Have fun with it! ONE PICTURE for the main scoring points; and this week I'm allowing up to 3 bonus pix. Please add up your scores when submitting as previously done; and I (as Team Captain!) will audit. Remember, your scooter should be in each pic.

2 You are in the picture
5 School sign in background announcing upcoming football game
5 5 points for EACH of the following thing(s) appearing in the background of your pic: game or practice going on, scoreboard, bleachers, US flag, goal posts, school bus, Mascot. Max points here-35.

10 You are on sidelines during a live NIGHT football game (with lights on) with players or spectaters in background

10 Rally Girl or Guy in full outfit is in pic
10 You are wearing either a school letterman's jacket - or a Rally uniform (your choice - we won't judge, but we might smile!)
+3 For a football in your pic
+1 First Entry

BONUS POINTS (for above pic)
+15 You are in 'full' football outfit-pads included (Scooter helmet instead of football helmet is acceptable.
+15 Pic with the whole darn football team (at least 6+ players!)

BONUS PICS WORTH 10 POINTS EACH (up to 3 more pix allowed this week only)
15 You are in a Recliner with a beer in hand, and your scooter is beside you (not a toy scooter but the real one), both watching a football game on the TV in the background of the pic.

15 Your scooter, with or without you in the pic, parked between the goal posts.

10 On-Going Scavenger Hunt Pic you getting a ticket by a police officer. It does not have to be a real ticket, and please don't break any laws just to get their attention! Only one pic of this for the entire Scavenger season allowed.

Since it's a holiday weekend, This Hunt ends at MIDNIGHT, Monday, September 7, 2009. However the New hunt will be posted Sunday, September 6th.
NORMAL WEEKLY RULES: (subject to Week 1 directions above)
-Only one photo may be submitted by each member for each week’s subject. (But if you get a better pic later in the week, PLEASE edit your original post note that you posted a better pic and note in the newer post that it is a replacement for a previous pic.)
-Old photos you have lying around can NOT be used- they must be NEW photos taken the week the photo subject was posted
-10 BONUS POINTS (good anytime all summer) for a photo of you getting a ticket (photo must include your scooter & a cop writing the ticket) only one of these may be submitted per player. (Thanks to kazoo for the suggestion)
(Edit – you don’t have to be REALLY getting a ticket… if you can get a cop to pose like he/she is writing you a ticket, that is good enough)
-No Photoshop submissions

PS - The Bonus points for the "whole darn football team" pic, should have the team posing with you and/or your scooter, not just in the background playing.

It's beautiful. 3 pts is the start of the game, and as of right now you're in the lead! How do you like it? I have almost 1,600 miles on my '09 white 125cc and today went for a last ride before a few days of rainstorms in Oregon. I have a feeling you'll love this 'new kid on the block'.

Seriously, don't let me win this week with 3 points. Does this week end at 12am Monday morning or 11:59:59pm Monday evening? It says Midnight Monday, but technically that's at the beginning of the day.

We always had this discussion with our professors who would make an assignment due at Friday Midnight, as a result many of them restated and said 11:59:59pm Friday to avoid any confusion.

This is your friendly Lady Football coach for this week chiming in. It is now Sunday evening, Sep 6th out in Oregon on the west coast. It's later everywhere else in the 48's. In my original instructions I stated that since it's a holiday weekend, I would give everyone until Monday evening to post pix, but will put the new week's instructions up Sunday/today.

Well, with just one response so far, I'm using my COACH status to officially make the following "call":

I will not be posting a 2nd week of instructions; the first week is now Weeks 1 and 2. YOU HAVE ANOTHER WEEK FOR getting your Football pics posted.

Our first poster "Asburyjer" - gets an extra 7 points Because he put a pic in on the first week. Thanks for your efforts. NOW you've got 10 points total (2+1+7). If you end up submitting another pic that is more than 2 points, you get to add 8 points to that pic score (1+7).

EVERYONE ELSE: Please get pix in during this "extended" extra week. I hope to see a lot of pix this week. G A M E O N!!!

Hey! If some of our members are in the UK, Austrailia or other countries where there is NO American Football, then YOUR country's "Football" is acceptable, but not in the USA.

Also I don't drink beer. But if reclining on my scooter drinking a cream soda watching football on my laptop counts, I could score some points.

USA people - please do USA-FOOTBALL

(Some countries call "Football" what we/USAers call 'soccer'. Example: If we have players who live in Austrailia, their pic can be THEIR FOOTBALL (which we recognize as soccer).

I'm just trying to get more pix from Everywhere.

USA-ers. Games are on! (but don't ride dangerously to get a pic).

I understand the difference between "AMERICAN" football and "REAL" football, I was simply noticing there is no points for having a football in the photo.

YES, you are correct. I had that in my first 'draft', but it was so easy that I wanted something a little more challenging. Hey, I love footballs too!

So IT'S OKAY WITH ME IF YOU HAVE A FOOTBALL IN YOUR PIC.

WE'LL CALL IT AN EXTRA 3-POINT PIC-GOAL, OKAY? It's not a separate picture, but added to all the many ways to add up your picture scores.

+3 points for a football in your picture. Adding that to the first post if it lets me.

15 for parking under the goalpost? i didn't want to go in the middle of the field.. the cops didn't like me in the end feild, but take these points away if it doesn't count.

I do have to say though that it appears as if the only real scavenger hunters ride the fastest color scoots.

The holiday forced many of us to put family time ahead of scooter time (damn family!

), so Cecijinetta was generous and extended the Hunt one week.

So your job this week will be to play like 1st string q-back in a pre-season game: sit back and watch the competition play out the game.

Here goes – Friday morning before work, finding a willing coach in overcast, spotted showers, preparing for tonight’s game. As it poured last night and was still very wet, I did not know if we could pull this off, yet it was really worth the effort.

YES - you got to have really great eyes - look directly over the posed player’s right shoulder (their left side in the photo) as there is a bus in the parking lot just beyond the bleachers!!

Of course is it hard to see with such a great pose in the foreground! We added a close up that shows it more clearly.

Oh, that is me leaning back on my 08 Buddy International Italia under the goal post in the endzone with the football team around me to help us get this shot!

BUT, I really know one of you can roll that scoot in the house and park it next to your Lazy Man chair, and you two can sit beside each other, watching a football game on TV..... ! with beer or other favorite beverage.

Well, I'd hate to make someone use a beer if they're against it. Yes, beverage of your choice is what you would likely drink while watching a game on TV, so go for it.

I am going to make the next session from Sep 15-Sep30. I am having surgery on my hands on the 22nd, and I cannot be typing AT ALL from the 20th to the 28th or so (although I'll try to have someone type once in awhile for me).

So, it will take awhile to type my next session's topic, (I left it on my desk at work, darn!). BUT, HERE'S THE TOPIC: "THE POWER OF CONSERVATION"

Yes, this time it's going to be all about saving, saving electricity, saving gasoline, saving ANYTHING related to making our planet a little bit safer and kinder for the next generation. That 'field' is huge, so I'm going to let you all put on your thinking caps - and hopefully at the end of the month, we will all not only learn a little more about each other, but a little more about our planet, conservation, etc.. I'll let you in on just one of the BONUS POINTS NOW (all the pics will be listed by tomorrow or Tues/latest, but This one does NOT require a pic):
+30 points: One paragraph of text on how you are doing something to 'save our planet' and/or 'conserve' on energy, recycle, etc. Keep it short and sweet, honest and sincere.

I'm sorry about my hand surgeries, but my carpal tunnel has been driving me crazy for the last 3+ years, and only last weekend did I FINALLY get the legal/certified letter allowing my insurance to cover this. I can't wait!!!

I have tried a lot of things to try to do my part. And after looking at the 50 things I could do I was happy because I was doing more than I ever thought. I don’t purchase water, and I don’t drink it right out the tap (thanks Brita!). I changed all my bulbs years ago to the compact fluorescents. I know that I save a little green by doing so, but I also know it helps by not making as much waste. I’ve had them in for years and never had to change one! The one thing that I never thought of was clean air from plants. I love my plants (my girlfriend has a black thumb) they make my place just seem more inviting.
