Exhaust bolt ?

Does anyone know what the bolt on the exhaust is for ? it is right before the silencer... i took mine out and ran it and it sounded like a dirt bike

it keeps it from sounding like a dirt bike

how is it running after you took out the bolt?

I took mine out sounded like shit and ran like shit too, so i put it back in.

mine ran like a beast pretty sweet dirt bike noise too if your into that sort of thing seems like a mild at best power gain

it shouldnt run right if you remove that. its possible that it could run fine, but odds are that it wont. the exhaust is a big part of how a 2 stroke runs. there is a lot to it to get into here, but basiclly, exhaust pulses pull the new fresh air and fuel air into the cylinder and also pull old exhaust out. if you put a leak in there things wont pull right

it actually runs fine and pulls every bit as strong if not stronger

Have you pulled the plug to check that you haven't caused the engine to run to lean? It would be a shame to squeak a piston because you wanted a dirt bike sound.

if it did run lean and ruin the piston. i bet you could just put the bolt back in and take it to the dealer. they would never know what happened. im not saying that is the right thing to do. but i doubt they would know you took that out.
also, make sure you show up there with half a tank of oil so they dont think you ran it out of oil. if the tank is full, they will think you just filled it
