So, I have added some sweet LED turn signals, but damn it, I need to replace the relay now. I have ordered it, but I thought I would put the word out there in case somebody was thinking about doing the same. I will post some pictures when done. $40 investment for the lights and relay, not bad!!!

FYI, your turn signal relay is the round part that makes the 'clicking' noise when your signals are activated. By removing it you loose the click. No big deal, but that should save you some searchiung for a square relay, it's round.

did you have to replace the relay because of the lights or it was just bad luck the relay died at the same time

Yeah, I found the relay really easy, but the stock one doesn't work with the LED turn signals. They only draw 1.4 W, so they need a different relay to make them flash properly.

LEDs don't draw enough amperage so the regular relay just flips out and the signals flash fast.

Here is a picture of the lights.

The cheapo way to do it would be to go to Radio Shack and buy a couple resistors, and then hook them up in parallel with the lights. At least that's what I would do if I had to wait for a relay to come in. I do, however, already have a bucket of resistors and various other junk sitting in the closet :)

Changing the relay is easy. Most likely you'll end up with a two connector relay to replace the three wire one that is stock. That's for the clicker. LEDs are polarity sensitive so when you hook up the relay if they don't work at first reverse your wiring on the relay. I barrel connected some spade connectors to the original wiring so I can just plug the stock one back in if I ever needed to.

Relay came today, it doesn't make the clicking sound, but they look sweeeeeet, and flash normal. I am putting some pics up, but they are not great, but you will get the idea.

I want to do LED signals on my Rattler as well. Is there a certain part number or spec for the correct one?
