Hi.

What should I use to safely remove that warning from the side of the scooter?

For any kind of stickers.... I suggest parking it in the sun, letting it get warm for a couple hours, then use a hair dryer to really heat up the sticker - then peel.
If it is on the plastic panels (a plastic finish, not painted) I would be carefull about using something like goof off or goo gone - some plastic does not like them. The heat method usually works pretty good - I took the Rattler stickers off mine with that & it worked very well

wow
never saw that on one.
Not on my 06 or on the 07 or 08's at my dealer....
I can see why you want that off.
Sorry... I dont have a lot of experience with paint removal
My inital thought for an easy fix would be to cover it with a strip of auto striping tape - www.vinylstriping.com
maybe silver so it matches the rest of the scooter & "connect" the front foot rest with the back foot rest?
If i was going to cover it with a stripe, I would cut the strip to follow the front curve up under the front foot rest & remove both the front & real foot rests & strip under them - the way the foot rest protect the ends of the tape.
Thats my best suggestion... good luck.

Didn't they have that on the Black Cat? Looks like a good excuse to paint if I've ever seen one :D

A wise Motel Clerk told me this and maybe it applies, "Embrace your Curse".

Hello, thank you for the suggestion.

I will first try to take that text out with some sort of paint disolver or something like that, if that leaves some marks, then I will try to stick a trip as per your suggestion.

Yeah, it's freaking embarrassing having that warning on there, people always make fun of that, hahahaha.

Thanks again for the great suggestion, greatly appreciate it.

can't you just take some krylon fusion and spray over it.

Full of win.

Whose idea was it to put that directly on the bike anyway? I can understand stupid lawyer-babble shit being in the manual...

Whose idea was it to put any of that stuff on the Black Cat??

That's the warning posted on all BlackCat fireworks... They must've used a leftover floorboard to finish your bike. Can you replace "Adult" with "Super Model" or "No ones"?

How about if you add "AB" before the "USE"

krylon fusion works very well. get the flat black.
i taped off anything important on my black cat, cleaned the surface, and did about 10 real light coats over all the screen printing on the scooter. the color is not a perfect match, but if you are really nit picky, you could just paint all the flat black plastic at once, so it all matches.
i was told that this paint actually bonds with the plastic, so it shouldn't scrape off or peel.
my scooter looks about 5000 times better without all the vinyl stickers and the silly screen printing!

Carb cleaner will take the stencils right off. Hit it with a generous spray...let sit for 30-60 seconds. Hit it with another spray...wipe off. There will be no damage to the molded plastic.

Thank you all.

Well I took some goof off and it appeared to take the lettering off, but it was kind of dark where I was applying this on. There, in low light it appeared that all came off, then I took the scooter in sunlight, on one side you can see white smears, so I guess I need to re apply more goof off, and wipe some more. But regardless, at least it's not there for all to read and laugh at me anymore. :)

The other side is a lot better, but also can use some more goof off.

So thanks again for the tips, like I said it's better than it was before, if I can't get it all off, I will try some of that paint some of you mentioned.
