Lefty Loosey? hex bolt floorboard

Just bought the roughhouse cowl guards (side protectors)

The bottom part attaches to the floor board but I can't get the hex bolt out-is it reverse threaded or something?? Gonna need a breaker bar but I don't want to break anything....about to just soak PB Blaster on it but this is a relatively new scoot. Any help would be most appreciated.
