New Roughhouse owner
Just bought a new Roughhouse 50 Friday night. My son has a Ruckus and I decided I needed a scoot so we could play. I love it! I love to ride, and have been rididng since 1971; not so concened about what I am riding; I just want to ride.
I bought the Roughhouse in Lynnwood WA. They treated me right and gave me a good price. And it is derestricted. I put about 40 miles on it this weekend, and my son's Ruckus didn't stand a chance. And I am breaking the Roughhouse in and not pushing it. Too fun.
I had visisted this forum, and many other sites, prior to buying. I learned a lot and went into the purchase well informed. Thanks everyone for all the info. I am very glad I chose the ROUGHHOUSE.

Thanks. It is a niice scooter and seems to be well made.
A question I have though; I weigh 195 and it seems to bottom the forks easily on moderate bumps. Like transitioning from road to driveway. Is this common or should I have the dealer take a look?
When not moving, and I apply the front brake and press on the forks all seems well. But I got several hard hits from the front enf this weekend. My son commented on it also. Any thoughts?

Welcome to MB. The RH is intended for off road and street use so the forks allow for both types of riding. With your riding experience you should get used to it in no time.

I bought it Friday evening and have put 70 miles on it already. One thing I've learned is to sit back on the seat some to take some weight off the front forks. My previous dirt bike experience tells me to put my weight forward to get more traction at the front. I need to change my ways a little.
I'm having a lot of fun though. I've already got a quote for a stage 1 kit, which may happen sometime after the scoot is all broken in.

Hey OldGuy, I too just purchased a '13 RH. I got it yesterday and already logged like 60 miles! I'm absolutely loving my bike and I think I can say that pretty honestly after putting around on a cheap Asian model for the last 5 years. Looking forward to learning everything about this bike and pushing it to the limit! Happy scooting!

Thanks! I am at about 200 miles now. Will have the first service done as soon as the stage 1 kit is in stock.
I recently bought a Vespa LX50 for my wife. It is well made and she is enjoying it. But it is slow... The Roughhouse is so much faster it is almost hard to ride with her! Makes me wonder why I "need" the stage 1 kit. Oh well; some things can't be explained (without embarassing ourselves!).
Right now I only ride in between rain storms in the lovely pacific northwest.
Enjoy yours! And I hope the weather cooperates.

Thanks. I have one on order through my scooter dealer. Turns out that one of the jets that is back-ordered is the one most commonly needed here.
I am buying from the local dealer, and having them install it, in order to maintain my warranty. I hope they get in stock soon. My son is making updates to his Ruckus and I can't have him being faster than me...
