Mod Scooter Help

Ok, I plan on taking my scooter for some rides along the Oregon Coast, and want to really wake it up for the hills i will encounter.
I already have a Prima Pipe on the Scoot Also, and Intend on keeping that.
What i was thinking was to install an Aluminum Jug Big Bore Kit, Weights, Sliders, 1500 or 2k Clutch Springs, Pod Air Filter, Aftermarket reeds and intake, Kevlar Belt and CDI/Coil Kit.
I would like Advice on this. According to the specs in the repair manual, this has the 10mm piston pin. Does that sound right for the rattler? What about clutch options? What is recomended, full swap, or tune what i have? Is big carb needed? I really dont want to have to pre-mix, so is there a big carb i can run with the oil injection?
What is the best source for parts? Is there a shop on here that can make me a package on all i need? Can someone help me out with Selecting the right parts for an easy upgrade without having to mod my exhaust or ??
I just want to be able to order all the right parts, have them fit, and wake up my scooter.
Thanks in Advance,
Jeff

The three biggest upgrades you can do to the 50cc is upgrading the exhaust, BBK, and carb. After that, your best upgrades can be found in the transmission and final drive. Heavier contra spring with a performance variator would help a little. There are strait cut gears available which would give you an extra 10-13% more power. You could do an air pod filter and upjet from the 72 to an 85 without changing the carb. If you are doing a BBK, you really should change out the carb for the best performance. The wrist pin is indeed a size 10 on the Rattler 50.
I'm doing quite a bit of upgrading on my RH50... I'm hoping to get it into the 60mph range. I'll be posting more information when I have everything together.

I agree with Sproket on the big 3 upgrade. Just dont forget to tune your transmission. All that new power isnt going to help you as much if you can't put it to the pavement. If I were to do all the upgrades your talking about, I would definately go ahead and upgrade the clutch and bell. And there are a couple of different options out there depending on your price range.

Can you help me out and tell me who carries the straight cut gears? Also do all the carb upgrades require pre-mixing the fuel? I plan to add a "Slosh" of extra oil once i do the mods, but will rely on the oil injection for a majority of the oil.
Also which scooter site has the best service, quality and reputation. I had been looking at Scrappy dog Scooters, and Scooter Dynasty for parts, but wasnt set on either.
Any advice on the best bang for the buck aftermasrket clutch, bell and Variator?
Thanks again!

Best bang for the buck on the clutch setup... that's going to be tough to really narrow it down. For one thing you could do a custom driven gear/clutch setup or go with a strong clutch suited to your style of riding. What I did was a HiT Clutch with an upgraded torq bell and a 1500 contra spring. It's not installed yet so I haven't done the final tuning. The variator is a dr pulley which has a smooth ramp plate and weighs less than stock.
As for the single best site... it doesn't exist. Your best bet is to call a couple places and see what kind of service you receive as well as knowlegde they have about your scoot. I won't order from scrappy dog as they couldn't answer a simple question about a particular part. Your experience may differ greatly.

Scooterworks is basically a Genuine site and if you have specific questions giving them a call (1-888-968-3772) may give you answers.
As for any type of upgrade just remember you "get what you pay for". As mentioned, Dr.Pully has some fine products, they also tend to be the most expensive. There are also Prima (a Genuine line), Malossi, NCY, and other off brands. I have dealt with Scooterworks, Scooterwest, Motorcycle Superstore, Jets-R-Us, for various parts and have had good dealings with all. Of course each individual may have a different opinion about any of the mentioned based on their own experience (i.e. spr0k3t).
Also the 50 line (Buddy, Rat, RH) have some interchangeable parts, so looking for parts may entail looking to other scoots. Knowing what a part looks like as well as sizing will help get the right one.
Good luck in your search for upgrades and on your coast rides.
