Helmet holder

Do people leave there helmets with confidence tied up to the under the seat helmet holder. I have been hesitant due to it being plastic.

Seriously, those plastic studs don't instill confidence in myself either. Although I do use them to hold a small tool kit (intended for bicycle use), and the helmet goes into my top-case. A helmet is a personal item, and I don't like the idea of someone having access to that item.

Granted most thieves will not know that they are plastic but i still do not want to risk it. I wonder has anyone mounted one of the more secure helmet holders. the reason is i carry it around all day between classes and its getting banged up quick. (and my heads to big so it dosent fit inside sadly)

I hang mine and have never had a problem, granted I live in a area where a lot of people just stick their helmets on the backrest of their bike and no one messes with them or takes them.
