I've come to the conclusion that I neither want or need one on my Rat 106.2
If I want to ride over 60MPH then I'll take the motorcycle instead.

Frustrated? I feel ya. I had a long conversation with a friend of mine and his dad about their snowmobiles. (Big time slednecks) they said the problem with many or big mods is the reliability after the work is done. Pushing the motor to its limits and pushing to what the motors potential are not the same. If the rattler/pmx was supported more I would jump right in. But I'm getting sick of the "have to make it fit". I won't stop looking or working on stuff in the cvt.

I kinda came to the same conclusion (except I don't have a motorcycle). I'm gonna leave my Rat the way it is and put money away to get something vintage and expand my collection to two!

im kinda leaning with laxer on this as well... as much as i enjoy the Rattler,,, aftermarket performance parts are just not out there... instead of sinking bucks into the Rattler,,, im going vintage as well...

this also how i feel, i have put about 6 thousand into my rat ,after this carb from m/h that is it !!!this my new ride

well when all else fails, get a china scoot I guess, i mean if your gonna sink money into a scooter it might as well be to keep it running instead of making it faster....

JK weezool yer right you've sunk enough money into the rat, I was making a joke at your expense and that is not how we really roll here now is it? Good luck with the new scoot, and getting something vintage to replace it.

I always wanted to get a Chinese scoot just to get crazy with. Performance parts are everywhere and you wouldn't feel nearly as bad about messin' up a $1500 scooter. I have visions of ripping the plastic off and chopping the frame and....well, you get the idea...

thats whats crazy about the cheap gy6. there are like a thousand stores with performance/tuning parts for these things. if you took the time and swapped out everything available you would have a new motor anyway and it might run forever.

then just upgrade the brakes.
hey weezool: it is a small brotherhood of riders that own a rattler/roughouse/pmx. we just hate to see you spend more money on something that is crap. if you bought it knowing it is a beat it and leave it scooter then all is good. if you bought it thinking the color blue rocks and you want to upgrade it and ride it forever, then your in trouble. we are not jerks just straight forward. but if you have a question, someone will always try to help. enjoy.

Will that BBK fit the stock Rattler engine? If so, where did you get it? Some of us have been desperate to find a BBK for the Rattler.

...and the CARB!! An actual carb that is proven to fit! Is it still injector style or pre-mix?

That Arreche 819/3 model carb signifies 19mm with a 2 bolt flange for the PGO intake manifold. Not the best carbs, but they fit. The PGO injects downstream from the carb.

How is the clearance? Seems to stick out over the cvt a bit. Looks good though.

it is the same, as far as ,that it sticking out over the cvt,but the higth is taller than stock,so you cant get to the bottom to change the jets easy,gotta remove the whole carb

i under stand that the carb dose not mix the oil ,it mixes downtream in the manifold ,but what i do not understand is 1)how dose this effect the carb ? 2)how dose this effect the performance ?

The Arreche semi-curved Racing Air Box would look quite spiffy on that new carb. And guess what - I have one, oiled & ready to go!

i looked at those ,but i hear that after market air boxer dont work well with pgo s ? I might look into it when i get this all worked out and things are fine tuned
