So, I blew out my exhaust gasket completely today (getting some lovely loud throttle and popping). Not unforseen since I've had a leak ever since it was rebuilt and with the Arizona heat, gaskets don't last long. But, going online to the scooter lounge I thought I had it nailed when they listed the part as being $.84 and available to order. Sweet!
So, I put down two gaskets (because they're cheap in theory and you should always keep spares) and clicked to checkout. But, when I got to the final screen they were showing a total of $13 bucks! a nearly 5 buck "genuine stock" fee and 5 more bucks for shipping! And, the killer was that it would take about TWO WEEKS!
C'mon guys... I'll just call Scooterworks or Genuine and see if I can get it direct. I mean, I need it so I'll pay the cost sadly but I'm NOT waiting two weeks! I'm not going to let my bike which is a daily driver sit for a 20 minute repair

That is a rip. What does an envelope cost, and a stamp.
it would be interesting to measure the difference between minnarelli and gy6 gaskets. I have also heard guys buying a sheet of gasket material and cutting their own. Pain in the but I'm sure though. Or even any 2t, bws or zuma etc should work.

no i don't ride a scooter, i am a scooter pilot!
