Howdy, to all my fellow Blur riders. I am new to scooters, being a long-time motorcycle rider but recently, last May 30th 2007, converted to scooters. I was able to buy the last 2007 Blur in my area and have put on nearly 1,000 miles so far!. I ride it to work everyday and thoroughly enjoy the twenty five mile round trip. I especially enjoy the nearly 100 miles per gallon!! I did get a Genuine windshield to help keep the wind and bugs off and that makes the trip at sixty to sixtyfive mph far more enjoyable. Since riding it in front of all my friends I could sell them by the dozens IF WE COULD GET THEM. I am always wiping off their drool!!It's a great machine, easy to service and fun to ride. Keep the shinny side up, ya'll!

Yeah, it's weird to look forward to going to work. Problem is, as soon as I'm there, I'm looking forward to going home :D

Welcome to the world of scooters! :D Out of curiosity, what made you switch from motorcycles to the Blur?

The "scooter seed" was planted by a couple of friends of mine. One rides a 400 Burgman and the other rides a 125 Vino. I listened to their positive comments and decided to look into making the switch. I suppose that if I was to want to go back on the freeway and do more interstate traveling then 150cc'c just would't do it but for my needs, scooters make the most sense. I wanted a bike that was manuverable, quick, sporty looking and got great mileage without sacrificing the first three reasons listed. I think I found the right combo.

The scooter also makes the most sense for my situation too. I wanted something fun enough to learn on, was reliable, and functioned well (good brakes, suspension, etc...) And I didnt want it to look like I was borrowing my "sisters" scooter (Buddy/Stella owners, no offence) Getting great gas mileage is just an awesome added benefit over getting a big motorcycle, cause knowing myself well enough, I would be rippin it up every chance I got if I had the power under my seat...

Actually, if i could have swung it, i probably would have gotten a Honda Reflex or Silverwing to start with so I would already have the bigger more highway confident motor. But, for what it is, I am glad I got my Blur.

SDude,
welcome aboard (forum AND scooters).
This little things are just plain fun. I have a feeling there are a lot of people out there like your friends that would have wished they would have known about the Blur while they were available. Ha !

Heck, maybe it will turn into a cult bike
Beer is the answer . . . what was the question?
