Calling Vacaville/Fairfield, CA Riders

Post by GregsBuddy »

With the sales activity at Motoxotica, there must be some folks on line that are from one of these towns.
If you'd like to meet up and chat or ride, please respond.

I also got my scooter from MotoXotica, and would like to meet other locals to ride with.

Meetups

FreeDivr -

I'm in Winters and am available almost any time (retired) for a good scooter ride.

I'm wanting to do a ride up Cache Canyon, around Clear Lake and return via Lake Berryessa sometime soon. And sometime cooler!

Anyone else interested?

Sounds like fun! We enjoy riding pleasants valley up to lake solano often. The back roads to Davis for lunch is another great ride.

Pleasants Valley Road is my favorite, along with some of the side streets, most of which seem to be closed now. Cantalow is also closed, but you can ride to the top and over for a couple miles and it's still nice. I also understand that you can go through the closure there on a two-wheeler on weekends, but I've only been there on weekdays when the crews are working.

The farthest I've gone so far on a tank of gas is from Winters up Cache Creek to just past the Colusa County line and back, and the fuel gauge was just touching the red when I got home. I'm reluctant to let the gas get much lower than that with the fuel injection. I get ~100 miles from the top to the red on the gauge, so that's been my limit so far.

It's nice to cool off in Cache Creek on a ride in this hot weather.

I just picked up a complete set of BiLT Freeze-Out thermal undergear and think I might be up to a winter ride.

Sounds like somewhere along Pleasants Valley Road would be a good starting or meeting place...
I'm old, and I've been paying attention.
