Hi,
Is this the right size fuel filter for the buddy 125? Also to replace it will gas spill out of the hose alot?

That’s probably the right size considering metric conversion - it doesn’t have to be a precise fit since the hose is flexible. The tank side of the system should connect to the bottom of that filter, as oriented in the picture. You won’t have to spend $20 to buy 10 if you go to your local auto parts store.
As important are the hose clamps you use to grip the hose around the filter barbs. I find I have to experiment a bit with those since fuel hose comes in several thicknesses.I have not found zip ties to be a palatable substitute.

Please don't pay $19 for that filter. You're better off with a 1/4" filter. Go into Checkers or napa and buy a 1/4" low pressure lawn mower filter. If your petcock is working like it should, very little fuel will spill out. Have a cloth rag handy.
