Washer/ Oil-Drain Plug

Post by kalajosh »

Is this true? And is it for gear and motor oil? I never noticed it.

I have never changed my crush washer, current engine has over 50k on it. I also over tighten my bolt.

This is for the motor oil.

When they tell you to change the crush washer and o-ring around the filter screen every oil change I'm pretty sure that is for the shop's benefit, not yours.
