Kill switch

Post by Mike1nw »

2009 Buddy 125
Just observed, the kill switch doesn't KILL the engine.
But it does prevent it from starting, if it's OFF.
Any ideas? I'm guessing something electronic?

Can you TEST the CDI?
The kill switch leads go to ground, and to the CDI. Pretty simple. Must be the CDI at fault.

It's not the kill switch nor the CDI.
It seems to be a little slop in the ignition switch. Which I can live with.

I cleaned the terminal of the ground wires and it started working again on my wife's Buddy. The ground wires were under the front cover.
