Front Brake Master Cylinder

Post by Imasaltedpretzel »

Does anyone have a lead on a good replacement master cylinder for the buddy 125? I seem to have trouble finding a good part number in the manuals. I was having dragging brake issues at the end of last season. A torn ACL has prevented me from riding up until now. Went to roll the scooter and the front wheel was seized. After some (a lot) of troubleshooting, I found out that the master cylinder spring/pin assembly is completely corroded. This is likely a combination of outdoor storage and living by the beautiful ocean. I don't think a rebuild kit is in the cards as the pin won't even retract out of the hole. The caliper seems to be opening/closing smoothly (after removing the master cylinder) so I'll leave it alone and hope this fixes my issue (after bleeding). I might just order the following - don't see why it wouldn't fit:

Thanks all!

P54030020005 is the part number. Scooter Lounge has it: http://www.scooterloungeonline.com/sear ... r+cylinder
Here it is on Ebay, not showing the lever or pig tail for the brake light: https://www.ebay.com/itm/303735713025?h ... Sw6ipfkDds
