More Security and Upgrades: Bugs?

Heya.
I’ve had to get a bit more aggressive with security. It’s not just the spammers (which have decreased but still get through), but we’re getting hit constantly by bots, which is costing me a lot of money in overage fees from our host. So I’d obviously like to make that stop.
These should be transparent to members, but if you have any issues that may be related (or otherwise), let me know here.
There were some issue with search after the last big upgrade. If that’s still happening, uh… working on it.
