Replacing Buddy Kick Battery

Post by thenikkiroom »

Hi all! I haven't touched my scooter in months due to COVID. I tried turning it on this morning and the dash was flashing for a bit and heard some clicking, but it didn't start. I'm going to try to replace the battery. Does anyone have any tips on how to go about this? I'm a noob to scooter DIYs. I know the battery is under the seat, how do I take the seat out? Thanks!

You might want to try just recharging it first.

I agree with this. Couple months discharged usually isn't enough to permanently kill a battery.

Accessing the battery on the Kick is easy enough. Open the seat (you don't need to remove it). Toward the rear, you will see a small plastic panel held on by a couple of screws. Remove them, lift out the panel, and you will be looking at the battery.
