Replacing/adjusting levers for smaller hands

Hey folks,
I know that some of you have smaller hands. My wife wants me to look into a solution for her smaller hands so that she feels more confident reaching for the brakes.
Has anyone replaced the levers with shorter reach levers or with adjustable reach levers?
If so what would you recommend?
