Gas Gauge Shows Empty

Post by Jack05 »

Well, got a new carburetor and now I have a great running Buddy 150. However, the fuel indicator show Empty on full tank.

Any advice on how to go about determining what the problem is? Thanks to all who respond to these posts. It really is very much appreciated!

It's a bone-simple system, really. The sender, which operates on a float, provides a variable resistance to ground, sends that to the gauge via a white wire with a black stripe, which then references the resistance to the positive voltage. I'd start by making sure that wire didn't get unplugged or otherwise disturbed.
