Finally got it started and rode 3 miles, when I come to a stop it shuts off.

Twirl the thumbwheel on the carb half a turn or so and increase the warmed-up idle speed. Don’t set that right when the scoot starts - it’s then running on the choke (aka “bystarter�) which is temporary.
