Can someone identify this rubber seal?

Some ***hole kicked down my scooter today and smashed my gauge. I found this rubber seal next to the scooter. It looks like it fits inside the speedometer, but I'm not quite sure.

That looks more like the ring that goes around the glass in one of your side mirrors. Did a mirror break when your scooter tipped over?

Yikes, that is a hell of a 1st post. Where did this happen? Was the fellow caught? Do you have insurance?

Happened outside my apartment. No way to catch a person like this. I live in a big city. I have renter's insurance so maybe it'll cover it.
