Modern Buddy

relatively new to me.
Had about 3 months.
2006 about 3k miles, well maintained.
I did have the wire for the odometer fixed about 2 weeks ago.
Normally ride 2-3 times a week, but hadn't ridden in 5 days.
Not cold.

I did search the forum, and the battery seems the most likely, ( http://www.modernbuddy.com/forum/viewto ... ight=start ) but I'm frankly not that mechanical, so looking for suggestions.

It was user error.

I had tried kickstarting, but had been unsuccessful, after someone mentioned the kickstart, I googled and found this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycjpL12EYKs

I had not 'primed' the kickstart with a few pumps.. and I incorrectly presumed that I had to hold the break, so i probably wasn't getting a good kick either.

I just got it going and rode for 10 minutes, so hopefully I'm good to go. Thanks!
It's weird that the kick start isn't in the manual at all.

I stand corrected again, it is in the manual, i went through quick the first time and missed it and also noticed it was not in first picture, so thought it skipped, but it is on page 13

The charging system on the Buddy and the RH is so weak, most of the time I need to kickstart anyways.

The Buddy charging system isn't that robust, so using a trickle charger on occasion will help keep your battery in good condition.

Kickstart for the win. Get to know it, that kickstart will be your friend when all else fails. Your bike will even run with the battery completely taken out, provided you use the kickstart.
