My daughter gets her license next month. I just picked this up for her. 2,500 miles. Needs a gas tank. $450.

Nice! What year and how many miles? Looks clean and straight from here.

looks like a 2006, which means plastic fuel tank. Replace it with an iron tank and enjoy.

congrats!

also why is a iron tank better?...in case of a crash?...just curious...a plastic tank is lighter and you could also empty it in the winter if you wanted and not have to worry about old fuel or corrosion...metal tanks you typically top it off and put fuel treatment in it so there is no air for moisture/corrosion to take place

I like your trailer. Custom built? Is there a place on it where you could secure a loading ramp?

Is it a Buddy 50 or 125? The trailer is very nice. Did you make it?

Interesting. Why do you say that?
I ask because the color looks exactly like our 2006 125 - Sunset orange.
Is this a 2006 specific color?

BUT... large headlight look like post-2006/2007 and later

My guess would be a 50 based on the front wheel.
(Also kind of looks like it says 50 when you blow up the pic ;)

I take it back. I does look like the smaller 2006 headlight.
(Had to double check what the 2006 vs 2007+ headlights look like in profile on our own scoots :)

Nice score!

2006 Sunset vintage Buddy! My 06 is still kicking ass and taking names!

Nice score. Looks like a 50 due to the engines lack of a cooling fan opening plus the exhaust looks like a 2-stroke system.

Yeah - I noticed that too!

I couldn't quite tell from the low res pic if that was a lack of an exhaust fan or if it was just missing the fan cover.

I also thought it looked like the 50cc exhaust system with the plastic heat shield, but the Buddy 150s also had a plastic cover heat shield whereas the 125 have the metalize plastic heat shield.

How could you tell it was a Buddy 50 exhaust?

Looks like it has a canister and pipe going into the muffler - above the muffler at the leading edge of the heat shield.
Besides that, it says "50" right under the "Buddy" signiture. :)

Nothing wrong with a Buddy 50! At that price and stick a tank in it it's a cheap scooter that will serve someone well!

(I would slap a kit on it!)

It's 50. In Colorado you don't need an endorsement to ride. She'll still take the 2 day MSF course.

I bought the trailer for $90 of CL. It was a cargo pod. I stripped it down and rewired it. I bought a pair of motorcycle rails for $35.00. I sold the extra one for $30.00
