I'm at peace with the fact that I'm not going to be able to find the color-match trunk for my Sunset buddy. I'm looking at contingency plans - painting the K-Max trunk to match.

Are the Genuine factory paints still available for Sunset, and if so, do they happen to come in spray cans or are they pigments meant for automotive paint spray guns? I figure my best bet would be to procure the trunk and get a quote from a local body and fender shop to have it painted.

You can also have a local auto paint shop scan a panel of your scooter and mix a pint of paint for you. Many of them can also fill a rattle can for you. In the case of a ten year old scooter, scanning is far more likely to give you a match than "factory" touch up paint - even if you could find it.
