Figured it out for the first time today. Not bad for stop and go traffic

Try riding it out in the country. Mine used to get about 100 mpg if I remember correctly. I sold mine because the small wheels were bad on the bumpy roads here, but it was an awesome scooter. Lots of power for it's tiny size which I loved.

Sounds about right, I'm getting in the mid to upper 80's with my 150 with a mix of country and town riding, not taking it easy on the throttle...

When you say "small wheels" and "tiny size" are you referring to the Hooligan?

83 MPG in city riding is excellent. I'm not surprised, however. My 170i is getting 95-105 MPG riding "back roads" with few stops and 45-60 MPH (indicated) speeds. I also wonder if our mild weather here is contributing to good combustion efficiency.

Yeah with EFI that sounds right.......those 170s are tuned down a bit much imo.

But they run clean unlike lean-running engines.
Smooth performance with no "snatch".

I think he was referring to a Buddy 170i. However, I could be wrong.

He was. I was wrong. You are right! Actually, I sold my AZ Buddy 170i for the same reason. It's smaller 10" wheels and tires were no match for the bumpy and broken roads of NW Tucson. I moved up to a Hooligan 170i but its 12" wheels and tires are only a slight improvement.
