Removing rear turn signal covers?

Post by Remous »

I started the process of blacking out my seafoam buddy. The last things I need to plasti dip are the mirrors and the rear turn signal covers.

Does anyone know the easiest way to remove these? There is a small screw where the bulb is and I removed that. I'm not sure if i should just take a flat head and pry the cover out or not. I don't want to damage it.

If anyone has any experience on this and could help it would be mich appreciated.

Thanks :)

After removing the back side panels and removing the turn signal assembly retaining screws, you have to carefully work the assembly back while rotating it away from the plastic tab that helps hold it in place. It should then rotate out. Be careful not to break that tab. Actually, getting it out is easier than getting it back into place, in my opinion.

Removing the rear side panels is not a difficult process and is something that is good to know how to do if you ride a Buddy longterm. You have to remove the seat bucket and rear grab rail as well a number of body panels screws and bolts. Be careful to take everything slow enough that you don't break any plastic body panel tabs. Otherwise, it is very straightforward.
