Has anybody tried the exhausts from Scrappy Dog for their Buddy 125/150? They look like they would fit OK.

Ask them if they fit shortcase?
Scrappydog is pretty good about answering questions.
I have a long case exhaust for my 125 and I had to fab a bracket, otherwise it was fine

Thanks. I will be sure to order a short case exhaust. I plan to replace the intake, exhaust and jet.

m not saying all aftermarket "universal" exhaust are bad but I have found that the more pieces/parts/bolts and adapters the more chances you have for failure. I have had terrible luck with Prima exhaust on a Buddy 125, but I do ride hard and Im sure going off curbs was never in the design brief. Others have had great luck with Prima exhaust. They are a 1 piece design. Either way, if you go with the Scrappy exhaust post your results. You may find a hidden gem in exhaust options for a Buddy.

Scooterworks has what looks to be a very similar exhaust on sale for $142.49 using the coupon code "yellow".

I thought these NCY pipes are more of a stock replacement than high performance. Anybody tried this NCY pipe?

That's a good price for the NCY, better than Scooterworks. Currently have a Prima on my Blackjack, but if I needed a new pipe I would go for the NCY.
It looks and sounds pretty good. Might not fit your need if you are going for chrome though.

An exhaust alone is not going to make a Buddy much faster, as its tuned pretty good from the factory as is. A NCY, Prima or other aftermarket exhaust do not have a catalytic converters like the OEM exhaust, so they are a bit more free flowing. I loved my NCY and it sounds pretty good without the silencer installed. The Prima sounds (and looks) the best but I had bad luck with them cracking in various places. If you just want a bit of flash and sound then get a exhaust. Then you will already have one piece of the puzzle already towards bbk goodness!
