Modern Buddy

I have a 49Cc MZ scooter that will not start unless I use starting fluid on it but then it immediately dies, the Peacock is fine, the vacuum lines have been replaced, it's getting spark, gas is getting to the carb it's just not getting from the carb to the engine, carburetor was just cleaned, any ideas on what it could be?

Sounds like the carb wasn't cleaned properly or completely. Something might be clogging the jets. My scoot sat for 6 years and I had to thoroughly clean the carb 2 seperate times to get it running.

I would try cleaning it all out again.

Also, make sure you get those set screws set like they were. Idle speed and air fuel mixer.
