Scooter clubs on Gulf Coast?

Post by Roadcat13 »

Hey Guys! My hubby just ordered my new Buddy 170i. I'm a newbie, and I was looking for scooter clubs on Gulf Coast. I can't seem to find any. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe there's a nationwide club I can join? Cheers! :D

you gotta be a little bit more specific. you know the gulf coast is pretty big. since I have lived all along the coast for a while, the Miss. gulf coast like to acquire that name more than most, but Alabama is kinda big on that moniker too.. Now Florida is more the panhandle, like Pensacola and destin, but still Gulf Coast areas... New Orleans is New Orleans, and doesn't identify as gulf coast, nor does most of Louisiana, But.....

but hey!! it's all the coast, and I wish I could drive on the beach, I just have a little lake and a river

Sorry, It is a big coast. LoL! I'm in the Mississippi Gulf Coast area, and I don't see a whole lot of scooters along the beach (I live within beach view). It would definitely be nice to know I'm not alone. :)

You are never alone when you Ave a scooter! There is a very active scooter club, Voodoo Scooters, located over in New Orleans. I don't know how far into Mississippi you live but you could probably ride with them on occasion. They do have some members that live over in Mississippi, I think. The best way to communicate with them is via their Facebook page.

Are you fully licensed or any previous riding experience? Not trying to be a nag but many folks dismiss scooters as mere toys and nothing could be farther from the truth. We scooter riders need to stick together.

Working on my license now. It's been ages since I've operated any two-wheeled motor vehicle. I'll definitely look them up, though. Thanks! 8)
