Top Speed - 170i

I'm curious to know the best GPS verified top speed for the Buddy 170i and the Hooligan 170i. They both have the same size engine but with the Hooli weighing about 40 lbs. more than the Buddy, I would have expected it to be a few mph slower. When I owned my 2012 Buddy 170i I clocked it several times at 59.8 mph GPS verified. This was on a flat 2 lane paved road with little or no wind and I gave it about 1/2 mile to get up to speed. I have not used the GPS with either of my Hooligans but top speedometer indicated speed on the same type of road has been 67 mph. Allowing for the usual optimistic motor scooter speedometer readings, I'm guessing actual speed to be just over 60 mph or slightly better than the 170i Buddy. My Genuine dealer attributes this to better ergonomics for the Hooligan.

For you 170i riders, what's your best GPS verified top speed?

Just curious, would the larger tires on the Hooli offset the extra weight?

170i top speed = 62 GPS

I got 62 on GPS, in a straight-flat, no wind run after about a mile to get to top speed. Note that I have a large windshield attached. I hit 65 for a second, with a tail wind.

Bigger wheels might help top speed.

But that's a Buddy 150. My question was about a Buddy 170i and a Hooligan 170i.
