Shocking that BMW would join the small displacement crowd!!!
A good sign to say the least.

Smart move by BMW, since the GS650 lists for just under 8 grand.

Not surprising considering the success of the Grom & the Duke.

That's a great looking little motorcycle. I can visualize a small quarter fairing on it. Not that it makes any difference, but like some of their other bikes, it's probably going to be outsourced to China to keep costs down. I wonder what the price of entry will be.

Its around 8k and made in India.
I've been going to different dealers and trying their smaller displacement motorcycles, all starting at 8k...
the g400c is to start at $4,599.
Can't wait for my g400c.

Thanks for the info. I must be getting old because I remember buying my brand new Suzuki GS750 sport bike for $3350 out-the-door. But then, that was in 1984...
Unfortunately, I'm making about the same amount of money now as I did in 1984, so I'm doubly screwed.

I doubt it's that expensive.
The KTM Duke 390 has an MSRP of $4,999. If they want to compete with KTM, BMW's pricing will have to be in line with that.
The Yamaha YZF-R3 is $4,990. The Honda CBR300R ABS is $4,899. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS is $5,299. Those are all MSRP's. Your actual cost should be less.
