12V Outlet 1 Amp fuse....

My recently purchased Buddy 125 had a blown 12V Outlet fuse (1 Amp). My 170i also had a blown fuse when I bought it. The only reason I figured out that the fuse was blown is because when you plug in a "Battery Tender" into the outlet, the Tender will blink red. I replaced the fuse and all is good now. Why does this fuse blow out in the first place? If the PO jump started the battery, could this do it? Just curious....

The fuse blows if you put a load of over 1 A on that circuit. Could be someone tried to use heated gloves or an air pump.
Could be they used a battery tender with an output of more than 1 A.

outlet is underfused

22 gauge can handle 1.84 amps at 6 feet. I replaced the 1A fuse with a 2A fuse.

Don't most Tenders put out more than 1.0 amps? My Battery Tender Jr. puts out 1.25 amps. So far, the fuse hasn't blown out with the Tender plugged into the outlet. I might just replace it with a 2.0 amp to be safe.

The Jr. puts out 0.75A.
