Help with a Buddy 50.

Post by CatdogFTW »

Purchased a Buddy 50 for cheap. The guy before didn't care for it.

The exhaust has a big scrape and dent. I replaced with this

Nice pipe and looks to be the cheapest on the market.

He also looks to have used 4 stroke oil. The cylinder and piston was in bad shape so replaced it with this

Again looks good and a nice brand which included carbon reeds for a good price.

I have been playing with the oil filter. Thinking about removing the cog and running a pre-mix petrol and oil.

What ratio would be recommended with the 70cc kit? I did try and bleed the oil pump but it's not bleeding correctly. That's why I was thinking of just going pre-mix.

I got a new carb too. Just wanted to eliminate and problems then can clean the old one up and try different size jets easier.

What size jet would be recommended to start with?
This is the collection I have to use

Thanks in advance. Can't wait to get this baby back working.
