You don't say if it's 50cc or 150cc but either way sounds high to me. This part of the country $1500 - $1700 is more reflective of the cost on a nice 150.

Agreed. This is from a dealership, though. You have overhead. I wonder if the dealer is giving some kind of warranty?

Assuming it's a 125 or 150, $2100 is high unless it comes with a gold plated warranty and a LOT of accessories. KBB suggested dealer retail price for an '09 is $1,700. That's close to the average private party asking price here in the greater Seattle area.

I'll get back to them on Tuesday and see how much wiggle room they have. Def will ask for some kind of warranty.

I typically ride an old triumph, but these little guys sure are fun and nimble (much more reliable too). It'll make a nice commuter until my gf moves in and takes it over.

I hope I don't offend, but was much more responsive than my buddy's Stella 4T Auto. However, the Stella is pretty damn smooth.

The Stella is a heavier machine and totally different than the Buddy. The Buddy is one of the fastest and NIMBLE in it's class. Those 10inch wheels are great fun at around 65. I'd rather drive a slow(relatively) vehicle to it's limits than have to go easy on a beast.

This made me look it up. Buddy 125/150 are about 235 lbs, Stella 4T is 250 or so, and surprisingly my steel P200E is 238.

I knew it was close.

I got my 08' Italia for $1200 with 400 miles a month ago. That being said, it was from a private dealer and there are certain risks.

They're willing to do $2,100 out the door (TTL, tags).

I'm thinking about coming at 'em w/ $2k cash and see what happens.

BTW, new rear tire and upgraded fork, w/ all fluids changed recently.

Any other thoughts?

The scooter you're looking at with those miles is worth $1500, tops.

$1,500 is a compelling price.

Am I getting hit with the Austin premium? According to KBB for 78704 zip it retails at $1,945.
